well, im sitting here remembering the good times, one in particular…

i’m on shuffle on itunes and a song came on, it was Drops of Jupiter - Train, its a good old song, but it reminds me of good old times, this means you liam and kiera.

It was a Someday, around say, half past a monkeys arse (so i have no idea when) and liam, kiera and I where in the recording studio at amherst, if i think right, we were hiding from mel, trying to avoid the utterly boring Muso Meeting. So here we are, and besides Liam, and Kiera’s sound engineering side, we had (mostly me) no musical talent what so ever, and we are just jamming away.

Then Liam decided to teach us a song, with Kiera on drums, myself on bass, and liam playing acoustic and vocals, we were a band to be reckoned with. The song was drops of jupiter.

So liam taught kiera the beats and rhythm, and teaching me the bass tabs, we where learning. After a few first attempts and failures, we started to get the hang of it, until kiera continued to bugger up, but he got it.

And then we got it, straight through, no bugger ups, or anything, we played Drops of Jupiter, and it was an awesome feeling. It was all thanks to liam. We did it a couple of times, even tried recording it, but it wasn’t working on pro tools so we couldn’t do it, damn!

but, overall, it was an awesome sesh, just three friends, jamming in a recording studio with high end equipment, it was just an awesome day, one that i’ll remember for the rest of my life…
